THIENSVILLE MILL SEGMENT:
The Thiensville Mill portion of Rotary Riverwalk extends from the publicly owned Thiensville Village Park western boundary in a southerly direction to the northern boundary of Molyneux Park in the Village of Thiensville.

Trail Material Composition: Boardwalk/Hard Surface
Key Trail Elements:

Elevated boardwalk
• From Molyneux Park to parking lot north of 140 S. Main Street
• Attach to rear of building at 140 S. Main Street
• Runs along edge of river above ordinary high water mark
• Permanent structure - construct of wood or recycled plastic
• Combine with “hard” and “soft” riverbank stabilization measures to preserve shoreline and provide aesthetic interest

• Create trail easement along eastern edge of existing parking lot
• Buffer trail from parking lot with landscaping and fencing
• Use tall landscaping to create visual screen for loading dock
• Provide gated vinyl-panel dumpster enclosure for screening of two existing dumpsters

• Create elevated boardwalk to tie into surface trail along parking lot to the south
• Provide secure gated access from boardwalk to deck

Prefabricated pedestrian bridge
• Bridge will span the Pigeon Creek tributary of the Milwaukee River
• Bridge style to compliment that of bridge at Library Segment

• From north side of bridge to Thiensville Mill
• Incorporate existing boardwalk behind building at 118 Green Bay Road
• Permanent structure - construct of wood or recycled plastic
• Two levels - Lower level just above ordinary high water mark, at low end of existing wall - Upper level at same grade as top of riverbank
• Staircase at Mill to connect two boardwalk levels together

• Transition to a crushed stone trail to meet up with existing crushed stone trail

• Define and enhance views
